My heart ❤️ is very sad to announce the passing of my Auntie Joan, on March 2nd, 2021...in her 96th year. A very quiet, simple plain lady, with a heart ❤️ of gold. Who loved 🥰 her family unconditionally.
She will be sadly missed by her children...Joanne and her families, Tom and his families, and Jennifer and her husband Tony. She was pre-deceased by her husband Jenny Janosik in 1952, a very young widow.
She is a great grandmother to 11, and a great great grandmother to 10...part of “The Bailey Girl” 5 Generations...that rocked...since the 60’s, for almost 60 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Mabel(Burt) & Walter Bailey...along with 7 siblings, the last of the Bailey Bunch. An amazing auntie to several nieces and nephews...and missed by many friends...Auntie was like a second Mother to many of us...always tending to the little ones needs. Forever having a baby on her lap, bouncing it up and down, and singing away to the babe. She was the glue that bonded many of us together...laughter as she said was her medicine in life. She lived a very plain life, nothing fancy...her goal was to make sure her children and her family were cared for. Auntie Joan had a special knack of doing that very well...comforting you, was her specialty. We are all going to miss her, she will forever be in our hearts ♥️ thank goodness for the memories... and all the great laughter...she had an unforgettable laugh 😂...I LOVE YOU AUNTIE JOAN...soar high through heavens skies dear angel 👼...until we meet again...Rest Easy My Friend 🙏🙏💞

We send our deepest condolences to Jennifer, Tom and Joanne, and their families, on the passing of their lovely mom Joan. She was a beautiful, kind and loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and a treasured friend. I always enjoyed talking with Joan, and seeing her beautiful smile and twinkling eyes. She will be greatly missed and always loved.

Deepest condolences to ALL of Aunt Joan's family from Ruth and myself. When I think back to those (mostly) fun days be it either Jones Avenue, Greenbank, Ajax and Port Perry etc., I can always remember aunt Joan making sure we kids were always offered refreshments when we arrived and subsequently so as to ensure we were not going to perish from dehydration or malnutrition while we visited. Whenever we misbehaved (and it was often) if she scolded us it was always followed by a smile or a chuckle as Joan didn't know how to be truly angry at anyone that I ever saw.
I did owe her an apology however. At my mothers funeral, I eluded to several pranks my mother inflicted on her siblings (as she was the eldest) and got away with a lot. After the service, aunt Joan came over to me somewhat disappointed and told me I forgot to mention the time my mother set Joan's hair on fire. I truly apologise for the oversight.
Rest in peace Aunt Joan and please remind your siblings when you see them (and especially my mother) that you are now the eldest and in charge. Wish I could see that video!!
