Sue, Brian and Family,

There's a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there's a special place in every mother's heart for their children. You must continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your mother. I will be praying for you and the rest of your family.

Please accept my condolences.

Memories of Aunty Rita are too numerous to recount here - we will need a party to get through them and i hope we can make that happen in the months to come.
One particular moment though - May 1999, a small regional cinema at the top of Lake Huron, with the new Matrix Sci-Fi movie being shown. Apart from Rita, her sister Wendy, Peter and myself, one other person was in attendance. As the movie started, that gentleman received a call on his mobile phone. A 'discussion' then took place between Rita and the chap on his phone - which although he didn't want to move out the room discovered that staying was not going to allow him to either have his call nor watch the movie!
Completely fearless, and that is how i will remember Rita. never afraid to put her opinion across, no matter the circumstances.

Another aspect Rita loved was seeing and exploring new parts of the world. On a cruise in 2008, Grand Cayman - managed to get Rita on a trip to explore the sea bed - wearing a very large upturned goldfish bowl that gave freedom of movement and great visibility around a reef system.
The look of incredulity and happiness on her face whilst doing that sea walk was lovely, a great experience that she talked about for days afterwards.
We love you.

Susan and Peter, we are deeply saddened by the loss of your Mom Rita. The last time we were altogether was at the family reunion in the summer of 2017. We have some great memories of that time. We hope that you will be consoled by all the memories you have shared over her lifetime. Words are not enough at times like these. Praying for your comfort and God's blessing to strengthen you. Sending lots of love to you and your family at this trying time. Ken and Cindy
