A wonderful teacher indeed!!!!!! Bob Gutteridge offered students in the small village of Point Edward (commencement of his teaching career) the opportunity to experience The ARTS..............his creative style of teaching was a fun way to learn...........ie. working with various kinds of media in art class, (oils,pastels,crayons,tempera,acrylic and oil paint) listening in appreciation to different types of music, attending a ballet performance:Swan Lake in London, Ont and meeting the cast backstage. These are just a FEW of the fond memories that come to mind when I think of Mr. Gutteridge. Bob reached out and touched the students with his kind, caring and patient manner. And.........I followed in Bob's footsteps and enjoyed a career as an intermediate/elementary teacher in Lambton County. My favourite component of the educational curriculum to teach should come as no surprise: THE ARTS! Go figure!!!!
