It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Istvan (Steve) Szajbely, beloved husband of Eva Szajbely and father of Tom (Naomi) and most attentive and loving Grandfather to Kathleen, Richard and Kimberly. Steve was born in Budapest, Hungary and moved to Canada with his young family. His love of life, classical symphony and cigars was well known and his happy place was his cottage at Woodland Beach. Family and Friends will be received at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral and Burial will be on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:30pm at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1570 Royal York Road, Etobicoke.
