Obituary for Annie Watters (Carr)

WATTERS, Annie -

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2023 in Whitby at the age of 82. Born December 10, 1940 in Kilsyth, Scotland to parents Theresa and Thomas Carr. Annie married James A. Watters on September 26, 1959, together they raised 4 children. She was a devoted wife, mother and was an active member of the church choir. An avid reader, she is remembered fondly as reciting the prayers from her prayer book daily. Annie always had a kind word for everyone and particularly valued time with family at Sunday dinners, the family cottage and any event that brought us all together.

Annie is survived by her husband Jim, brothers Thomas and George (Violet) and sister Catherine (Kim Mealing). Her children and their spouses; James and Sandra Watters, Richard and Karen (Wallis) Watters, Sharon and Doug White, and Keenan and Lisa (McCaie) Watters. Her grandchildren Trevor, Emily, Michael, Lucas, Annie, Jessica and Jacob. Great-grandchildren Arielle, Colby, Amelia, Layla, Asher and Brooklyn. Annie was predeceased by her mother Theresa and father Thomas.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Village of Taunton Mills (LTC) for the exceptional care they provided for Annie.
