CHANT, Ivy Jean -
In her ninety-eighth year, Ivy Jean Chant passed peacefully with family by her side. Ivy was born in Cherry Valley to Morley and Myrtle Emorey. Predeceased by her three siblings Florence (Gord) Harris, Alma (Robert) Mitchell and Betty (Allan) Brooks. She leaves behind a strong sense of family, togetherness, and love. Gordon Chant (predeceased) and Ivy had seven children, (four predeceased). She will be missed dearly by all her children and their families; Sherry Chant, Rick (Jan) Chant, Bonnie (Tom) Kinsman, Laurie (Jerome) Sammy, Merrie (Grant) Jackson, Melodie (Tony Pavlides) Chant, and Kellie (Ed) Fomenko. Known as GrammaGramma, Ivy is survived by 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby.
