Passed away peacefully at The Village of Humber Heights Nursing Home on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 three weeks before her 94th birthday. Cherished wife of the late Slawko (Russell) for almost 70 years. Beloved mother to predeceased eldest son Jeffery, daughter Leslie and husband Terry (Gula) and son David. Dear sister in law to Emily and Walter Kobzar and predeceased older sister, Gloria Prokopowich of Ottawa. Sophie has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Boulevard), on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto.
