It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Pasquale Rizzo announces his passing on January 13, 2023, in his 90th year. Born in Rende, Pr. Cosenza Italy, on July 16, 1932, he was a beloved husband of 66 years to Maria Gradita Rizzo. Loving father of Francesca Zuccarini (late John Zuccarini) Jeff Macko life partner, Late Gabriele Rizzo and Joseph Rizzo (Janice). Grandfather of Maria (Dave), Late Pasquale, Diana (Vlad), Matthew (Amanda), Loretta (Sal), Sabrina (Paul), Stephanie, Lyndsey and John-Aiden. Great Grandfather of John, Aiden, Jordan, Gage, Vincent, and Amelia. Predeceased by his parents Francesca Stellato and Gabriele Rizzo and his brothers Antonio (survived by Maria), and Luigi (survived by Franca). Predeceased also by sister Francesca and husband Francesco, survived by Constantina (Cesare) and sisters Emma (late Francesco), Anna (late Mario), Maria (late Rocco). Predeceased by his in-laws late Antonio Latino (late Ada), late Frank Cartini (late Emma) and survived by his brother-in-law Antonio Prete.
Pasquale worked at Christie’s for 40 years as a baker and then security. He enjoyed past times such as gardening with his wife and watching his favourite NHL team the Montreal Canadians. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends.
The family of Pasquale would like to extend their gratitude to all his caregivers, doctors and the hospital staff at Humber River Hospital and West Park Rehabilitation Centre. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and neighbors.
