McDONALD, Muriel Mary -
On Friday, January 13, 2023 Muriel Mary McDonald passed away at the age of 96 with her family at her side. She has found peace and moved on to her final resting place.
Muriel was born on Calumet Island, Quebec and grew up in Campbells Bay. She moved to the Ottawa area where she met and married her husband Ross McDonald and started a family. They then relocated to the Toronto area, where they spent the remainder of their lives. Muriel spent most of her work career at Inglis/Whirlpool where she retired at 65 as National Manager of Office Services.
She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Muriel was predeceased by her husband of 52 years and 7 brothers and sisters. She is lovingly remembered by her children Joanne (Vilnis) Butkevics, Judith McDonald, Joe (Robin) McDonald and her 2 grandchildren, Madyson and AJ.
Many thanks to the amazing staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby where she had resided for the last two and a half years.
Visitation will take place at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Friday January 20th at noon followed by a Funeral Mass at 2 pm at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 903 Giffard St, Whitby Ontario.
