D' ANGELO (nee DeBiase), Maria -
Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2nd just a few days short of her 95th birthday. Born in Caiazzo Italy, Maria immigrated to Canada in 1952 to join her beloved husband, the late Nicola D’Angelo. Loving mother to son Anthony (Jennifer) and son Geppino (predeceased). Cherished nonna to Sarah (Jerome) and Claire (Collin). The light of her life was her four great-grandsons Christian, Owen, Joel and Noah. Loving sister to Vincenzo (predeceased), Cristina (predeceased), and Luigi (predeceased), and dearly missed by her brother Steve and his wife Lena and their family, Tina (Eugene) and Gianna (Dino), and nieces and nephews in Italy. Warmly remembered by Angela and Anna Zampella. Maria had a passion for spending time with her family and friends. A renowned cook, she spoiled us with her homemade pasta, ragu and cakes. She will be fondly remembered for her strength, determination, and loving personality and generosity. Special thanks to the dedicated staff of Sunrise Senior Living Oakville. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto.
