Passed away peacefully in his 90th year at Etobicoke General Hospital on Monday, October 31, 2022 a year-long struggle with heart disease. Loving husband of 64 years to his bride Polly Cicci, dearly missed by his five children Judy (Bill), Jim, Janet (Art), Robert (Mary) and Joanne. Beloved grandfather to Mark (Eve), Jen (Brianna), James (Kelsey), Cole (Jade), Julie (Mark), Makayla, Jeff (Holly), Katie (Mike), Antoni (Sarah), Alessandra, Laura (Harrison), and Andrew. He was a proud great-grandfather to Mikka, Kaya, Quinn, Conorr, Gavin, Violet, Rhys, Rory, Saydee, and Salvatore. He is predeceased by his mother Gioconda, father Isidoro, and sisters Anne, Rita, and Mary, and is survived by his loving sister Ida. Val will be missed by his many friends, neighbours and colleagues. His strength, love, courage and generosity will be forever in our hearts. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Boulevard), on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to Trillium Health Partners would be appreciated by the family.
