It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Maria (nee Malecky) at the wonderful age of 94. Maria is predeceased by her husband Emil and her two brothers. Maria will be missed by her nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. A sincere gratitude to all of the staff at Beechwood Court for the exceptional care provided to Maria in her last five years of life. Born in Kolomeyia, Ukraine, Maria always had a special place in her heart for her fellow countrymen. She has been a generous supporter of her church and many Ukrainian projects and charities. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 La Rose Avenue, Toronto, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canada-Ukrainian Foundation would be appreciated.
