HARDY, Leanore Marilyn “Lea” -
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the age of 88 with her daughters by her side. Beloved wife of the late Cameron. Loving mother to Laurie (Harvey), Sandra, mother-in-law to Janice and predeceased by her son Bruce. Cherished grandmother to James (Melissa), Darryl (Nilene), Colleen (Andy), Gregory (Candace), Kristina (Patrick), Terry James (Michelle) and Jennifer. Great-grandmother to Amy, Milla, Vinicius, Arthur, Parker, Genevieve, Simon, Cameron, Isabelle and Emily. Survived by sister Deanna and sister-in-law Ginny...predeceased by brother-in-law Gord and brother Russell.
Lea was a proud member of the Essex Christian Reformed Church and very involved with the community in Essex for over 40 years. One of her favourite endeavors was knitting over 300 pairs of mittens for disadvantaged children in the community each year. Lea was a member of the Bell Pioneers for many years as well and was involved in making heart pillows for heart surgery donations. Her kindness and generosity will be missed.
A service will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 11:00AM at Essex Christian Reformed Church, 276 Talbot Street South, Essex, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to W.C.
