Obituary for Lillian Chicorli

CHICORLI, Lillian (nee Durette) -
Peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital, on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Lillian was the fourth child born to the late Henry Durette Sr. and Laura (nee Lebel), in Campbellton, New Brunswick. Dearly beloved wife of the late Maurice Chicorli (2019). Dear mother of Gayle (predeceased 2010) and her husband Doug Payne, Rod and Tammie and her husband the late Stefano Cancelli (2020), and mother-in-law of Marie. Dear sister of Freda, Gerald and Jack and the late Clarence, Lionel, Rita, Henry Jr., Raymond, Delbert, Geraldine and Maurice. Cherished Grandmother of Laura, Christian and Emily and Great-grandmother of Theodore, Mackenzie and Cameron. Lillian was more than a Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Mother In Law and Friend. She was the epitome of selflessness, kindness and generosity. She always gave from her heart and always gave more than you could ever expect. Never putting herself first and no matter what the circumstance, pushed aside whatever she was going through to be there for you. Our family, our world, has lost the most precious person and heaven has gained another angel. We do know that Mom lived a full life and experienced so many wonderful memories along the way. She created so many memories for us to cherish in our hearts. May she be surrounded with God’s gracious love and His gentle spirit. We are better people because of her love and her fine example to all of us. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Church, 2194 Kipling Avenue, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Benedict Church would be appreciated.
