John Francis Wylie, 89, Mississauga, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Beloved husband of 56 years to Violet Wylie. Dearly loved father of Deborah Wylie (Blair) and John Wylie (Sherrie). Proud and cherished grandfather of Ellis and Dana. Born August 7, 1932 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, John came to Canada at age 19 and worked until his retirement for Peoples Jewellers. Predeceased by his parents James and Monica Wylie, and his first wife Frances. John was devoted to his wife and family, greatly enjoying family vacations and holidays. Sincere thanks to the kind and compassionate care provided by the staff at Etobicoke General Hospital and Amica City Centre. To honour John’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for visitation at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Airways Church, 7407 Darcel Avenue, Mississauga, on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
