Passed away peacefully at Taunton Mills on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Steve Elliott. Loving mother to Bill (Janice), Barb (Chris) and Bob (Anne Marie). Cherished grandmother to Jacqui, Steve (Laura), Elliott, Emma, Zach, and Megan. Proud great-grandmother to Brooke, Sadie, Kalia and Jana. Survived by her sisters Peg (Dave) and Jean (Tom). Predeceased by her parents Bill and Helen McDonald and brother Sandy. Sally will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
A lifelong educator and fiery competitor (euchre anyone?) Sally broke the mold for women of her era. She will be remembered for her strength, values, and sense of humour. Definitely not for her cooking ;).
Sally will be resting at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel (110 Dundas Street, Whitby) on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 5pm-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John The Evangelist Parish (903 Giffard Street, Whitby) on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11am. Burial at Kintail Cemetery.
