Obituary for Leslie Whitehead

WHITEHEAD, Leslie -
In his 79th year, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 10th, 2021. A lover of golf, cross country skiing, cars, motorcycle’s especially his Navy Blue Wing. Les enjoyed yoga & breakfast with the girls. Les also taught ballroom dancing and was a site to behold on the dance floor. He will be deeply missed by his best friend Verne D’Angelo. He was the special Uncle to Duncan Tasker & Suzanne (Vern) Neild and Great Uncle of Richard (Beth) of the Isle of Man, extended family including Sandra D’Angelo, Kent family of Calgary and D’Angelo family of Toronto. There are so many people and organizations to thank for their kindness, support and dedication to the care of others. Dr. Stephen Smith & Associates, Dr.T. Izukawa of Baycrest Hospital Toronto, Dr. Bharucha, Dr. J. Stewart , Becky and the team 2 East medical and Palliative Nurses 1 south CCC at Bowmanville Hospital, PSW’s of Community Care Durham and the Clarington ALS team. My coordinator Paula from LHIN was invaluable through this process. Space doesn’t allow for all the individual names, you know who you are. From my heart to yours thank you. Donation in Les’ honour to Community Care Durham, Hospice Durham or the Clarington ALS team would be greatly appreciated and accepted. These caregivers saved my sanity during a time of great stress.
