Obituary for Giuseppe Intrevado (Intrevado)

INTREVADO, Giuseppe (Joe) -
On Friday, October 9, 2020, Giuseppe (Joe) Intrevado. Loving husband and father of one, passed away at the age of 84 years. Giuseppe was born on January 31, 1936 in Ururi, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1962. He married his wife Lina in 1962 and became the proud father of his daughter Marie Theresa. He made a living as an auto body repairman, and eventually retired from the automotive industry field. He was the type of person who listened a lot and said very little. But when he did respond, you either liked what he said or you didn’t, because he was brutally honest to a fault. He had a very sarcastic personality and was very opinionated much to mom and I’s frustration. In many ways he was a very kind and gentle soul who was always willing to help a friend in need.

Giuseppe was an avid gardener and was the envy of the tomato community as he grew a continuous crop of tomatoes. What a surprise when mom and I went to Italy in 1996 and discovered that all along he was capable of making tomato sauce on his own even though back home he never offered to make the sauce. He loved to play cards and looked forward to playing with his friends and drinking homemade wine which he made on his own. His other pastime was playing bocce ball in the park with many friends that are no longer with us today. One of my most treasured memories is my dad and I watching hockey games.

Giuseppe is survived by his wife Lina, and his only child, Marie Theresa. Good-bye Seppe-Peppe. Sleep in peace until we meet again. We will always love you.
