It is with great sadness that the family of Mirriam Fredreka Boreland (Mama) announces her peaceful departure to her heavenly home on Wednesday May 20, 2020, at age 83 years. Dearly beloved wife of Owen Boreland and loving mother of seven children, Jennifer, Kenneth (deceased) Novlet, Ian, Sevon, Muriel and Merdella; five step children Novlet, Humphrey, Marcia, Presley and Maxine (Debbie); twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and other families and friends. Mirriam will be forever remembered for the love, nurturing and guidance she provided to her family; her thoughtfulness, kindness and inspiration to those she met along the way. A funeral service in memory of Mirriam will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel. Burial will take place at a date to be announced in Longwood, Clarendon, Jamaica.
