Obituary

MONCUR, Violet (nee Hendry)
(Wednesday July 25, 1928 - Saturday, May 9, 2020) -
After a remarkable life, heaven has received a new angel. Peacefully of natural causes on Saturday May 9th in her 92nd year, Violet Moncur received her wings to join those who passed before her. Violet is home now with her parents William and Jemimah, her siblings Ella (Larry), Bill (Ellen), Margaret (Fred), Jessie (Harry), Averil (Joe), Gib (Zena), Lennox and her beloved husband Alexander Robertson. She is loved and remembered by her children: Alexander, Mike (Debi), Cheryl (Chris) and Colin. Loved dearly by her grandchildren: Theresa, Sandy (Suzanne), Elyse, Michael, Meagan (Jeremy), Jacqueline, Nicole (Rikk), Gerrad, Zack, Harley, Ashleigh (Stephen) and Carla (Patrick). Cherished great granma to Morgan, Shelby, Tiffany, Noah, Owen, Leah, Jamie, Charley, Jack and Declan. Adored great great granma to Jasper. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews and many other extended family and friends. Violet was a strong willed woman full of so much love for everyone she knew, always leaving an impact. We have been so blessed to have had her love for so many years. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew her. Private family arrangements have been made at this time. Due to current circumstances, a celebration of life will take place at a later date when it is safe to do so. Online condolences and memories can be made and are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Vi was the kindest sweetest ,thoughtful lady always there for me since the day I arrived in Canada many years ago .My first apartment she told me she had some dishes of hers she didn’t want anymore ,and I was grateful to have them .When she gave me the dishes it was a brand new set and I was over the moon .She had done may things like this always a giving heart .Ron myself and Ashley and Jodi loved so very much and always looked forward to seeing her especially at family functions and Party’s at my brothers house .She was also very kind to My mom and dad (she was my dads cousin)and to Ron’s mom Lenore .They al thought the world of her as we do .
We are so sad to see her leave this world ,but know there are many waiting to greet her into her new one .
To Cheryl Micheal Colin and Sandy we send our love and deepest condolences to you and all the family.
RIP Vi and you’re star will shine forever 😢❤️❤️❤️❤️
