It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill/Ihor Boddy. He was the son of the late William and Nadia Boddy. He will be dearly missed by his wife Irene, of 52 years and his sons Ivan (Maggie), Marc, and Chris (Farah). He will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren Peter, Katie, Justin, Alec, David and Grayson. Bill’s/Ihor’s accounting career spanned 50 years. Many of his clients became cherished friends. He dedicated time to the organizations he believed in. He was on the audit committees for the Ukrainian National Federation, charitable golf tournament committees for UNF Children’s Camp Sokil, Ukrainian Professional and Business Association, Sick Kids Hospital and Children of Chernobyl. In his personal time, he enjoyed working with his hands, fixing anything from engine blocks to bicycle chains. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed nothing more than the laughs he shared with friends and family at Weston Golf and Country Club. He was a rare combination of someone who was optimistic and patient. He had a unique ability with assisting others. His comforting disposition made it easy for people to seek his counsel when they needed it most. Bill/Ihor will be remembered for his charisma, his kindness and most importantly, the love and pride he had for his family.
*******For the safety of our dear friends and family the funeral will be a small private affair. The rules and restrictions only allow for a gathering of 10 people in the entire building. We will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date when social gatherings are permitted.
