Obituary

BOLTON, Phyllis Rose Anne (nee Wilson) -
Phyllis died at Trillium Hospital on August 3, 2019 at the age of 90. Phyllis, dearly beloved wife of the late Ralph Bolton, and loving mother to Brian (wife Ferne), Eric (ex-wife Suzanne) and Jennifer (husband Chris). Phyllis was the proud grandmother of Aaron (Tegan), Blake (Faianne), Brittany (Taylor), Ben and Brenna and great-grandmother to Nathan, Emily and Silas. She was a dear sister to the late Violet, Burneace and Margaret all of Owen Sound. Mom lived independently in the home she loved until December. She managed to recover and get home for 2 months before returning to hospital. She loved to “putter” in the garden, relax on the veranda and visit with neighbours and family. Her door was always open and you were always welcome to pop in. She will be remembered for her apple pies, chocolate chip cookies and homemade fudge at Halloween. Phyllis will also be lovingly remembered by the Foulkes family in BC (Dora, Jim, David) and the VanWycks (Uncle Bob and family) from Owen Sound and close family friends the Byers. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, on Thursday August 8, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Jenni and family: I was very sad to hear the news of your mom's passing. She was such a lovely lady, and some of my fondest high school memories were spending time with you at your house, talking to your mom and dad on the porch, eating her amazing baked goods, and driving up to Owen Sound. Your mother was such a good listener, and she was always there to help out, and extend kind and loving words. She was a beautiful lady, with such a positive energy. I am so sorry for your loss.

To Jenny and your whole family - your mom was such a graceful, beautiful woman with a heart of gold. I will always remember your Mom for inviting me onto her porch for a chat while your dad came in and out of the house in between working on the cars in the garage. We were lucky to have her as one o the "Moms" who watched over us. Even as we drove by the house, she and your dad would always wave from the porch and it made you feel like you were coming home. And of course fudge on Halloween - what a treat!

You chose a beautiful photo for all of us to remember what a loving and peaceful soul she was...

Our whole family wishes you peace in this time of sadness.

Jenny ,Chris and family,
Very sorry to hear the passing of Phyllis. She was such a wonderful person and great neighbour. I called her the Royalty of Wincott Drive. Cars would honk hello and people would stop to say hello. She always had a wave for everyone.
I will also miss our chats as she would update me about the comings and goings of the neighbourhood and catch up on what was happening in each other's family as we sat on her veranda.
She will always be in our hearts.
Alan,Naoko, Trent and Naomi

I will miss sitting on her veranda watching the people and cars travel down our street. Also will miss our chats a
