TOMASSI, Lucia -
Lucia Tomassi was born on April 10, 1926 in Sora, Italy and passed away peacefully in her home with her family at 3pm July 27, 2019. Lucia was one of 6 children born to her parents Francesca Parravano and Francesco Rotondi. Lucia went to school and worked in the fields to help her family at a very young age. Lucia married her late husband Luigi Tomassi, in November of 1949 and had five children (Anna, Angelo, Mario, Natale, and Rita). In 1963, Lucia and her family moved to Toronto, Canada for a better life when she had her youngest son (Frank). Lucia worked various jobs not knowing the English language however, her perservance and strength to support her family assisted in overcoming huge obstacles. Her greatest loves were her garden, watching her grandchildren and having Sunday dinners with her entire family. She joins her husband Luigi and granddaughter Christina and leaves behind her 6 children and spouses, 14 grandchildren and spouses and 7 great grandchildren who love her and will miss her dearly.
