Cathy and I met in August 1967 at Go Home Lake. My parents had just bought our cottage and our dad's had met as new neighbours. When they discovered they had daughters the same age, they thought it would be a great idea to introduce us at the regatta. I will always remember meeting for the first time, followed by years of fun and friendship at the cottage. We had our whistle to let each other know we were heading through the bush for a visit. Cathy was wise beyond her years. She always spoke with a quietness in her voice. I always felt safe and cared for in our friendship. From hair brushing, manicures, acorn fights, boys, to adult women with our own children I will always cherish the memories. Cathy was resilient, strong and so very kind. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I knew Catherine in my early teens when we were the Fab 4...Cathy, Kim, Joan and myself. We were bridesmaids at Joan's wedding. Even then Cathy was the wise one, always more mature than would be expected from her young years. I am so thankful that the four of us got together a few years ago to catch up. A sweet and thoughtful woman who will always be remembered in my heart.

Growing up in the mid fifties and sixties and early seventies in the Toronto area the Jobb's, Moffat's and Nadin families celebrated all major holidays and birthday dinners together, something to look forward to and fun times indeed for children. Catherine and I being the elders of the seven little ones spent the majority of time together. She was always game for any and all activities, a great sport as it were, always concerned for others that may have become injured in our rambunctious play. She had a great sense of humour at appropriate times as well as a strong communicator. These selfless traits were the hallmarks of Catherine as an adult and parent, she will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew and loved her.
Godspeed Catherine!
