Obituary

MacFARLANE, Jeanne Alexander -
(Born July 3, 1943 - Died June 8, 2019)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother, Nana, and Friend. Jeanne was the best at everything she did. She was the best daughter to her parents Fred and Margaret Pirie, she was the best wife to her husband Gordon MacFarlane of 55 years and she was the best Mom to her children; Susan her spouse Greg, Jeffrey, his spouse Stacey, Gregory, Matthew, Jonathan, and Jennifer. Nana will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Samantha, her partner Michael, Tabitha, Hannah, Noah, and Isabelle. Oliver, her great-grandson, knew the power of her love and devotion for the first 8 weeks of his life. The family will have a private graveside service this week. We are planning a Celebration of Life to bring her many dear friends and family together. Thank you to all for your support at this difficult time. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com

My very deepest condolences to Jeanne's family. I was deeply saddened to hear this news. I knew Jeanne for many years through her position as night school Program Administrator at Richview CI, while I was the day school Office Administrator. Our paths would cross weekly and sometimes daily through emails, and we'd have many conversations. What a lovely, kind, generous woman, with so many talents! Who can forget her short bread cookies which she would give us every year!! Everyone who knew her, loved, respected and admired her. May your wonderful memories of her carry you through this difficult time. Helene Kingsley

Jeanne loved design, home decor, and helping friends out with design dilemmas. To Jeanne's family... Jeanne loved you and celebratedad all your achievements and milestones. Her friends enjoyed the stories about your childhood dog, Sasha. People believe that they can multi task but Jeanne put us all to shame. She was the glue that held a diverse group of friends together. I miss Jeanne yet have great memories. Richard

Cousin Jeanne was the matriarch of all the cousins. Her love of children and family was evident at all times. She will be fondly remembered and missed terribly. The submitted picture shows Jeanne with all her Skene family cousins at a family gathering celebrating Granddad Skene's birthday.
