Dear Barb. It is with deep sorrow that I have heard the news of Rowley's passing. My condolences to you and family. Rowley was such a positive influence in my life. He provided guidance to many of us growing up in Montreal. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to tell him that in our visit a couple of years back. A gentle and kind soul that I will miss dearly.

Dear Barb, I was so very sorry to hear this news. Even though it was several years ago now, I still have fond memories of the many baseball games and after parties that we all participated in. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. My deepest condolences. Mary Ann Evans

I am so sorry to hear this. My condolences to the entire Lewis family. He was a great man.
My memories of Rowland go way back to when I was a kid. He coached me in baseball and hockey, he was always there for the kids, from coaching to being the quarterback when we played football, he was always there. My first year of little League, I was cut from the team by this man. Needless to say, that made me stronger and play harder. I made the team next year and we had a great year, going right to the championship where we lost. This was the only time that I saw Rowland furious. Down in the lockers in the chalet, he whipped a baseball against the wall, he was furious and we loved him for it. A few years later, he told me not to play football or baseball, stick to hockey or I will destroy my knees. Sure enough, I didn't listen and I am feeling the consequences everyday now. I truly loved this man. Whenever I was down, I wondered, what Rowley would say.
