Dear Family When I opened the paper this week and saw Don's photo I gasped. I worked in Brewster Travel which was one of the shops on the street level of the Mount Royal Hotel where Don worked. I remember him as being such a handsome, sweet man with a great disposition. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Gloria Folden

So sorry to learn of Don's passing, with my deepest condolences to all family and relatives. I first met Don when Ron and himself had arrived in Banff in the Fall of 84. In order to help cover the costs of a room to sleep in, and that's all it was I had invited the two of them to share in the cost until we all figured out what our next move would be (getting a job for starters). I have many fond memories of our adventures together in those early years in Banff which consisted of hikes, afternoon pints at the old King Eddy and such. Further on we shared an apartment for a season or two. What I remember most though is his smile and laugh. He had a great sense of humor with a genuine smile and sparkle in his eyes. As the years past I'd wonder how Donny was doing and often thought to look him up at the Mount Royal Hotel. RIP
