Obituary for Ronald Alan Hill (Hill)

HILL, Ronald Alan -
(September 3, 1944 -- November 28, 2018)
“Ron” passed away at his home in Vancouver. The only child of the Late Audrey May Hill (nee Price), and the Late George Hill, Ron is survived by his cousin Jeffrey Price (Catherine), of Toronto.
Ron was born in Montreal and was raised by a very loving, caring and proud Mother. Uncle Don Price (Katherine), was also a big influence and role model in Ron’s early life. Ron had many interests. He loved animals, he loved to travel, and he loved Vancouver. Being fluent in several languages helped him communicate with many. His journeys took him to many places and gifted him with many friends. Ron also had a passion uncovering his family roots. He and cousin Jeff were always excited to find more branches. They made sure that they always shared their finds. Thank you to all of Ron’s friends in Montreal, in BC, and abroad for remembering him in their own special way. If Ron touched your life in any way, please make sure to raise a glass in his memory. Ron was quite private about his life. We are grateful to Brian Glen in a successful search for next of kin. His determination and investigative skills have allowed Ron to be put to rest with respect and grace.
As per his wishes, Ron has been cremated. Along with his Mom’s ashes (January 21, 1911 - October 5, 2001), Ron will be put to rest at St. James Cemetery in Toronto. They will join his Uncle Don and Aunt Kay.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, Ontario (North of Rexdale Boulevard) at 11am. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Ron’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
