Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre at the age of 74. Dear son of Maria (Mary) (nee Harasymchuk) and the late Wasyl (William). Devoted and much loved husband of Katherine (nee Pidzamecky) for 46 years. Loving and cherished father of Paul (Viola Devine), and Hanya. Walter will be fondly remembered by his aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and support staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, especially in the ICU, for their compassion and care. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (north of Rexdale Blvd.), on Tuesday, January 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Panakhyda Tuesday 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Health Centre, or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
