The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alexander Cushing can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Dear Alison and Amanda,
We are heartsick to hear of your sudden loss. Your family had so much to deal with, at such a young age, with the loss if your Mom and Dad. As neighbours we all tried to support you three kids as much as possible.
Now you will need your friends, family and neighbours again as you cope with the loss of Alex.
I wish we were not out of country so we could support you in person, but please know we are holding you close in our thoughts and prayers.
Be kind to yourselves and each other in the days and months to come.
Brian, Lynda and Melanie Hicks

Condolence: Alex ,
You will forever be missed by many people. I’m deeply sorry for your tragedy. Alex talked about his family a lot, he loved his family unconditionally. Alex was a great listener and a great friend. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Miss you today, yesterday and tomorrow. You always knew how to cheer me and everyone else up. You gave very good advice. You were a wonderful friend. I rember when I was going to run out of gas and you followed me all the way to my moms flower shop in bowmanville, just to make sure that I was ok. You would check on me, at home, here and there. I will miss your smile, your laugh and your funny jokes. You definitely knew how to make everyone in the room smile or laugh. Miss you😢😥.

Condolence: Dear family and loved ones, I was so sorry to read about Alex's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. It has helped me and many others to know that the Bible promises that soon God “will swallow up death forever” (Isaiah 25:8) and that He will bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones (John 5 : 28, 29) . May “the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,” comfort you during your time of sadness (2 Corinthians 1: 3).
