Condolence: My Uncle Duke was a great person. Living 3 blocks away throughout our childhood meant our families visited often. He was a great gardener, taking tremendous pride in flowers and vegetables alike. Uncle Duke always had a smile on his face, and brought laughter to others. He was the first to show me to use butter on a squeaky kitchen hinge, and yes it works great! Each Christmas, our families rotated hosting, including the VanSlagarens, and nobody missed. Special memories of a terrific uncle. Warmest regards to Aunt Edith and my cousins, and it was warming to see everyone this evening.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear that Uncle Duke had passed away. My condolences to Aunt Edith and to each Dan, David, and Donald and their families. Although it would be wonderful to be there for the service we will not be able to attend. I have so many memories of Uncle Duke from my very young years to even the last visit with him. I pray the Lord will bring peace and comfort to all of you at this time.
