(August 21, 1917 to September 2, 2018)

Peacefully at Scarborough and Rouge Hospital, with her family by her side Grietje was called home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2018.
Beloved daughter of the late Sape Siemens Kooistra and Jeltje Kooistra (Vander Veen). Predeceased by her beloved husband Sjoerd of 67 years. Loving Mother to Janet, Alice (Glenn), John (Mary) and Florence (the late Danny). Predeceased by her infant daughter Foekje. Cherished Grandmother of Tanya (Robert), Susan (Will), Wendy (Pascal), Michael (Sarah) and Mark. Great Grandmother to Liam, Luke and Levi. Predeceased by six sisters and seven brothers.
Family and friends will be received at WC TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410), on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00pm. Service to follow in the Chapel at 2:00pm. Interment at Groveside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Grietje’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church.
