With deep sadness, we announce the quiet passing of our dearest mother, on May 30, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Katie was born on June 24, 1924 in the Netherlands, the eighth of twelve children. Katie died as she had lived - with the love and admiration of her four daughters. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tony, of 58 years. Our mother will be missed but forever cherished by Elsie Ferguson (Jack), Annie Stovell (Wayne), Rietta Pithie (George) and Rose Blackie (Dave). She was a dear Oma to Tracy, Lisa, Tyler, Jason, Jeremy, Brian, Kyla and Jake, and great-Oma to Maya and Ryder, Lauren and Julia, Ava and Ezra, Sawyer, Matthew and a ninth great-grandchild on the way. Katie will be fondly remembered by her siblings Lies and Marta in the Netherlands, as well as by many nieces and nephews there, and also here in Canada. Katie was predeceased by her parents, Cornelis and Elisabeth Hubers, and her siblings Bertha, Louie, Bill, Jo, Drika, Dina, Harry, Tony and Dora.

The family will receive friends at the W.C.
