DI MISA Antonino (Nino)
God called Antonino (Nino) Di Misa peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born April 14, 1927 to Anna and Gaspare Di Misa in Camporeale, Sicily, Italy. On November 9, 1961 he married Rosalia Li Mandri and two years later immigrated to Canada. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Rosalia of 56 years, cherished by his daughter Anna Lewis, son-in-law Brian Lewis, daughter Antonina (Toni) Glick, son-in-law Don Glick, and always remembered by his sister Caterina Notaro and many loving, nieces, nephews and extended family. Nino was a loving father, husband, and friend to all. He loved carpentry and devoted many years of his working life to this passion. He was also an avid gardener and took great pride in his giardino – the jewels of his garden were always his prized fig trees. Nino was always there to help friends with carpentry projects or whatever else they needed him for. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Sunday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Drive, Toronto at 10:30am. Entombment: Glendale Memorial Gardens.
