Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017, with her family by her side at Dorothy Ley Hospice at the age of 48. Beloved daughter of Olga and the late Michael. Much loved sister of Michael (Lizna) and Daniel (Candice). Proud aunt of Lucas and Serena. Theressa will be sadly missed by her cousins Cathy, Linda, John, Jerry and Michael. Predeceased by her cousin Donald. Theressa fought a long and courageous battle against cancer for the last 17 years, with the help of Dr. Rashida Haq oncologist at St. Michael’s Hospital. Many thanks to Ruth and Palliative Care Dr. Ameer Haq and the team at Dorothy Ley Hospice who helped and encouraged her to the end as did Agnes and Oleksandra, nurses from Spectrum who aided her on a daily basis for the last 6 months. To honour Theressa’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (North of Rexdale Blvd.) on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. (The family will receive friends from 12pm until service time at 1pm) Inurnment: Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
