Today, I celebrate the life you lived and the blessing that you were to me. Today, I will miss celebrating with you on your special day. Where shall it be? Baton Rouge, Mandarin, Red Lobster? Or how about The Gull and Anchor for your island favourite… Eddoes and Mackerel? It’s on the menu today! Today and every day, I MISS YOU! My mind knows that you are in a better Place. You are at peace; there is no pain. I get that. I just wish that I could explain it to my heart! There is an empty place in it that nothing will ever fill. I grieve; I cry. But I know that my tears are for me. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. And, you know, with me most things are possible!
