Media commons

For two years I was fortunate to work at the UofT Media Commons alongside Don--audio engineer, storyteller, drummer, and tinkerer dynamo. Spending 2-3 shifts per week with Don didn't feel like work; we hung out and chatted for hours about music documentaries, British comedy, and geeked out over video tech gear. He would pass on his favourite film "Withnail & I" to anyone innocently asking for a film recommendation (no librarian's reader's advisory necessary). He was such a unique and wonderful man. I will miss him.
