We were so sorry to learn of Allan’s death. We will never forget the difference he made in our lives, persuading us to move to Toronto. We have especially fond memories of the wonderfully funny extended toast he gave at a birthday party for Rob, in which he hilariously reassured Rob that there was still time for Rob to make a mark in life since many before him – including Ferdinand Magellan – had not done anything before 40 either. We found him to be a wonderful friend and we’re sure his absence is keenly felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
